Born in Vienna in 1988, the 1st Prize recipient of the international Johannes-Brahms-Competition has performed as a soloist accompanied by a variety of orchestras including the North German Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kärntner Symphoniker, the International Danube Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Croatian Chamber Orchestra.

Marie Spaemann studied with Reinhard Latzko at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, as well as with Valter Dešpalj at the Academy of Music in Zagreb. Marie Spaemann is regularly invited to perform both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles at international festivals, such as the FESTIVAL NEXT GENERATION Bad Ragaz in Switzerland, the PODIUM Festival in Germany and Austria, the Saronic Chamber Music Festival in Greece, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in Croatia, the South Korean Classic Garden festival and the Konzerthaus International in New York.

Apart from recordings with soul/jazz-singer Lylit (Kedar Entertainment), Marie Spaemann embarked on her own singer/songwriter project “Mela” in the fall of 2013, and released her first CD at the end of 2014.
